Ingredients: Burdock Root, Sheep Sorrel, Rhubarb Root, Red Clover Blossoms, Blessed Thistle, Kelp, and Slippery Elm.

Essiac strengthens the immune system, improves wellbeing, relieves pain, increases appetite, reduces tumour size and extends survival. It cleanses the blood, promotes cell repair, restores energy levels and detoxifies the body. The herbs contained in Essiac may relieve inflammation, lubricate bones and joints, stimulate the stomach and eliminate excess mucous in organs, tissues, lymph glands and nerve channels.

Best to drink therapeutically.

Method:

Bring 3L of water to boil and add 3-heaped tablespoons of Essiac Tea.

Reduce heat and allow simmering for 15 minutes.

Place lid on saucepan and refrigerate for 24hours.

Bring water and tea mixture back to the boil then reduce heat and allow to simmer for a

further 15 minutes.

After the second simmer turn off heat and allow cooling.

Strain the herbs, then drink the herbal brew throughout the day.

Keeping Kombucha

Kombucha is best kept refrigerated. We aim to bottle each batch to capture best level of fermentation to taste, so refrigerating it when you receive it will preserve this. Being naturally carbonated due to fermentation, if you leave it out of the fridge and depending how warm the ambient temperature is, you should expect it will become more effervescent and vinegary/sour to taste.

Alcohol Info

Kombucha fermentation is lactic acid fermentation not an alcoholic fermentation. The sole objective of kombucha ferment is to produce lactic acid and probiotics not ethanol - unlike beer, wine, or cider.

The only input that can vary ethanol is the initial sugar levels, and or the combination with other alcohol producing yeasts. Alcohol will not increase if left out of the fridge.
